All righty, here to start plotting! SO, yes, Kain is a trained warrior, a dragoon (jumping knight who uses a lance: but he'd have no jumping/powers or whatnot now of course). He knows how to fight! But while he does good with stabby weapons, he's not exactly a ranged weapons expert. He could probably kind of... do passably ok with the crossbow... but having only 2 shots does stack things against him.

He's also going to be feeling pretty reluctant to fight and kill anyone else at the moment, which can also factor in. A little bad luck, a bit of holding back... and he can definitely be caught off guard. He'll pretty much go and find some random abandoned camp which he can try and defend. So yep, he'd be purposefully shooting in self defense only, aiming only to wound and/or may have terrible aim and miss. I'm totally up for figuring out anything as far as how his death plays out!
