[Trying to attain Sparkling's level of perfect outward appearance is a fool's errand anyway, one that he's going to be on an uphill climb against soon enough. For now though, he does the best he can with what he has while he still has agency. And when Vicious smiles, Sparkling smiles too, able to effectively hide whatever pain he's feeling behind it.
He takes the clothes with a slight tilt of his head, smoothing his hand over the top of them as if to inspect Vicious and Spike's work. He doesn't want to ruin how nicely they're folded, but even from here he can tell they did an excellent job, considering the condition he'd brought them in. Even down to the shirt itself- which had previously been a permanently dingy muddy red with soaked-through blood- has somehow come out looking just as white as it did when Sparkling first arrived. He can hardly believe it, and it shows in his expression as he follows Vicious to where he sat, taking up a seat across from him in a nearby chair.]
Do I really? I guess I can see where you might get that from...I'm glad they don't look too threadbare. I wasn't paying enough attention to the quality when I purchased them, unfortunately...
[BUT IT'S FINE as long as he looks good, he doesn't care so much if they only last him a few wears.
But with all of that good-natured introduction, he's...trying to figure out the best way to lean into what he wanted to talk about without alarming Vicious. He doesn't want him to get the wrong idea, but...well. There's really no better way to get into it other than to just...get into it.]

We obviously didn't get much of a chance to...talk at length, given everything that was going on at the time. And I'm afraid that my reaction at the time, or lack thereof, must have been alarming. So...I wanted to talk about it.
